Cottage

Bruce Conkle creates modern day fairytales, which like their forbearers also contain moral insights and discuss dilemnas that affect man today. In this case Conkle has created a complex tale of a hunter and the hunted (a bear and a half-wolf/half-lumberjack) where both have become trophies mounted on a witches cottage/tent. The motif of Gingerbread production is both a symbol for myth and a sticky sweet metaphor for chemical weapons production. Who wins in the end, myth or weapons?
